Nalu

Nalu is a boutique beachfront residential development comprising 45 ultra-luxury apartments and resort-style amenities positioned along Marine Parade in Miami on the Gold Coast. Located directly opposite the beachfront, the project responds to its coastal setting through an open architectural form that maximises ocean views while maintaining a strong connection to the landscape and hinterland backdrop. The five-storey building is arranged over a basement carpark with an activated ground level and a landscaped rooftop terrace, delivering high-amenity living aligned with the relaxed and active Miami lifestyle.

The structural design has been developed to support a refined architectural expression while addressing the technical demands of a coastal environment. A reinforced concrete frame and core system provides the primary structural support, delivering lateral stability, durability and long-term performance in an exposed marine setting. Particular consideration has been given to material selection, exposure classifications and detailing to ensure resilience against coastal conditions and to meet the expectations of a premium beachfront development.

The project required careful coordination between structural design, architecture and services to maintain open floorplates, generous glazing and seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor living spaces. The basement and ground plane have been designed to accommodate site constraints and construction staging along a prominent beachfront corridor, ensuring buildability and efficiency throughout delivery.

Nalu has been positioned to open toward the ocean while integrating with the surrounding coastal streetscape and landscape. The structural solution supports the project’s ambition to deliver a contemporary landmark within the Miami beachfront precinct, providing a robust and efficient framework that enables high-quality residential outcomes and long-term performance for a premium coastal development.
